ZAR Advertising
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how ZAR Advertising uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, understand and improve our website and, where applicable, measure advertising performance.
Last Updated: 25 September 2026
ZAR Advertising uses cookies and similar technologies where necessary for website operation, security and requested functionality. Complianz is the current consent manager for non-essential website technologies.
In the present production configuration, Google Analytics 4 is deployed through Google Tag Manager after Statistics consent, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag is configured to load after Marketing consent. Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta/Facebook tracking and remarketing are not part of the current launch configuration.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files or similar technologies that may be stored on or accessed from your device when you visit a website.
They may help websites:
- operate correctly
- remember certain settings or choices
- maintain security
- understand website usage
- support analytics or measurement
- support advertising activities where applicable
Cookies and similar technologies can operate differently depending on the website, browser, device and technology being used.
How We Use Cookies
ZAR Advertising uses cookies and similar technologies for website operation, security, requested functionality, consent preferences and the approved analytics/measurement configuration described in this Policy.
Non-essential technologies operate according to the applicable consent choice and may not be active for every visitor or on every page.

Website operation, security, login/session functionality, forms and requested features.
Control: Generally required where necessary for requested functionality.Preferences
Remembering website or consent choices, including Complianz consent preferences.
Control: Used to remember applicable website choices.Analytics
Understanding website usage and performance through Google Analytics 4.
Control: Current configuration requires Statistics consent.Advertising
Supporting approved website/advertising measurement through the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
Control: Current configuration requires Marketing consent.Essential Cookies
Essential cookies and similar technologies may be necessary for the website to function properly, maintain security or provide features requested by the visitor.
Examples may include WordPress/session functionality, Customer/Partner login/session functionality, website security/browser storage, public-form functionality, Cloudflare/Turnstile security or abuse protection, necessary technical preferences and Complianz storage used to remember consent choices.
Technologies required for website operation, security, forms or requested functionality should not be treated as marketing technologies simply because they use browser storage or similar mechanisms.
Preference Cookies
Preference cookies or similar technologies may remember choices such as cookie preferences, interface settings or other selections used to provide a more consistent website experience.
The current website uses Complianz consent storage to remember applicable cookie and consent choices. Other preference technologies may be added only where they are part of the actual website configuration.
Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics 4 is the current public website analytics service. It helps us understand website usage and how different pages or features perform after Statistics consent is granted.
Depending on the interaction and configuration, analytics information may include pages visited, session/interaction information, browser/device information, referring source and configured event information.
The current production cookie scan has identified Google Analytics cookies including _ga and _ga_W7BM7R7TQR. Cookie names or behavior may change if the provider or configuration changes.
Google Analytics & Tag Management
ZAR Advertising uses Google Tag Manager to manage approved measurement tags on the public website and Google Analytics 4 for website analytics.
In the current Complianz configuration, the Google Analytics 4 tag is configured to load after Statistics consent. The presence of Google Tag Manager does not mean that every Google analytics or advertising technology is active.
Google Ads conversion tracking is not part of the current launch configuration.
Google Advertising & Conversion Measurement
Google Ads conversion tracking is not currently active as part of the launch configuration.
If Google Ads conversion measurement or another Google advertising technology is added later, the applicable consent configuration and this Policy should be updated before that technology is treated as active.
LinkedIn Advertising Technologies
ZAR Advertising uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag for approved website and advertising measurement. The tag is deployed through Google Tag Manager and is configured to load only after Marketing consent in the current Complianz configuration.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is part of the launch measurement configuration. This Policy does not claim specific LinkedIn cookie names or identifiers that have not been verified in the production cookie inventory.
Advertising Measurement
The current approved measurement configuration uses Google Analytics 4 for website analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag for website/advertising measurement, subject to their respective consent categories.
Remarketing or similar audience-targeting technology is not treated as part of the launch configuration unless separately approved, implemented and reflected in the applicable consent controls and this Policy.
Technology behavior can depend on browser settings, consent choices, geographic location, device settings, technologies actually implemented and third-party configuration.
Cookie Choices and Consent
Complianz is the current website consent manager. Visitors can use the consent banner/preferences to control applicable non-essential categories.
In the current configuration, Google Analytics 4 is tied to Statistics consent and the LinkedIn Insight Tag is tied to Marketing consent. The implementation is intended to condition those non-essential tags on the corresponding consent choice rather than using the banner as a cosmetic notice only.
- website operation
- security
- requested functionality
- forms
- login/session functionality
- Complianz consent-choice storage
- Google Analytics 4 — Statistics consent
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — Marketing consent
- Google Ads conversion tracking — not currently active
- future remarketing — only if separately approved
Where consent is required, the technical implementation should control relevant non-essential technologies rather than merely changing the appearance of a cookie notice.
Browser Controls
Most modern browsers provide controls for managing cookies, including blocking/deleting cookies and changing other cookie-related settings.
Blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect website functionality or your experience.
Browser controls operate separately from the Complianz consent controls available on the website.
Third-Party Services
Some cookies or similar technologies may be provided by third-party services used by ZAR Advertising for public website functionality, security or, where implemented, analytics/advertising measurement.
Hostinger
Hostinger supports the ZAR Advertising WordPress hosting environment and related website infrastructure. Necessary technical/session functionality may arise from the WordPress/hosting environment.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare supports parts of public-form security, Turnstile verification and abuse/bot protection. Relevant security technologies may operate when visitors interact with protected website features.
Google Tag Manager is used to manage approved measurement tags, and Google Analytics 4 is configured to load after Statistics consent. Google Ads conversion tracking is not currently active.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is configured to load after Marketing consent for approved website/advertising measurement.
Providers used elsewhere in ZAR operations do not necessarily set cookies on anonymous public website visits merely because they process data for another purpose.
Third-party providers may have their own privacy, cookie and data-handling policies.
How Long Cookies Remain
Cookies may generally fall into two broad categories.
Session Cookies
Session cookies are generally designed to operate during a browsing session and may be removed when the session ends, depending on the technology and browser.
Persistent Cookies
Persistent cookies may remain on a device for a defined period or until removed.
Actual duration may depend on the specific technology, service provider, browser settings and website configuration.
A fresh production Complianz scan has identified the current website cookie inventory, including Google Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_W7BM7R7TQR. Exact persistence can depend on the provider, configuration and browser, so this Policy does not state unverified durations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time when website technologies change, new services are introduced, existing technologies are removed, advertising or analytics configurations change, or applicable requirements change.
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
